Planet of the Apes is an American science fiction (sci-fi) media franchise consisting of films, books, television series, comics, and other media about a world in which humans and intelligent apes clash for control. The franchise is based on French author Pierre Boulle's 1963 novel La Planete des Singes. Its 1968 film adaptation (starring Charlton Heston) was a critical and commercial hit, initiating a series of sequels, reboots, TV series, tie-ins, and derivative works. The franchise has influenced subsequent films, media, and art, as well as popular culture and political discourse.

Important Added Info: Note that this is a vintage Scholastic Magazine promo poster from 1972. It was originally accompanied by a small red booklet which introduced students to how people with different racial backgrounds could positively interact!

Condition: good. The poster was once taped to a wall and roughly removed, causing tape stains and paper/surface paper loss in the corners (see our image). There are some pieces of tape on portions of the edges. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
