The Rink, the 1916 Charlie Chaplin silent restaurant waiter rollerskating slapstick comedy short ("Mutual Chaplin specials"; about a waiter who wreaks havoc at his restaurant and then proceeds to a rollerskating rink where he does the same) starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Edna Purviance, James T. Kelley, Eric Campbell, and Henry Bergman

Important Added Info: Note that first release movie paper of any kind from this early Charlie Chaplin movie is beyond scarce. We have never auctioned a first release poster (we have never even seen one!), and part of this is likely because the movie was quickly re-released in the early 1920s by Republic Pictures (the first version of Republic Pictures!), and that likely caused the first release paper to be used up. We once had a single 1916 still from this movie, and now we have this ultra rare 1916 lobby card, but it may be many years before we get anything else from the first release of this movie!

Condition: good to very good. The card has many stains around the edges. It has a 1/2" tear near the middle of the left border, and a 1/2" tear and a 3/4" tear in the lower right border, with a 1/2" tear in the right of the bottom border. There are a few stains around the edges of the image area, and two small areas of surface paper loss in the top right corner of the image area, in the background. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! The card can be displayed just as it is, or certainly, any talented restorer could perform restoration on it, and it would require very little paint restoration in the image area, and then only around the edges.
