An Original Vintage Second Edition Russian Poster Art Portfolio (measures 16" x 23"; contains 27 prints) (Learn More) The Soviet Political Poster, the 1976 Gleb Nikolaevich Pavlov Russian art portfolio containing full-color reproductions of various Soviet Union political posters from 1919 to the 1970s. There was a first portfolio with this name that contained 31 different posters and was first published in 1973 and reprinted in 1975. There was a second portfolio with this name that contained 32 posters (apparently all different posters from the first portfolio). If anyone knows more about either of these portfolios, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that this is the second portfolio with this name, which was printed in 1976, which originally contained 32 posters (see above). The portfolio consists of an outer folder that contains an inner folder, which has a full-color cover, and inside of that inner folder are the 16" x 23" prints with a cover page telling about the history of Soviet political posters. On the inside cover of the inner folder is a list of the prints contained in the portfolio with the English translations, the artists, the date of the print, and the dates the artists lived. The portfolios were published in Leningrad, Russia, but clearly intended to be sold in America, because there are English translations of everything and lots of English writing on the covers. Certainly, these really cool prints could be sold individually! Condition: good to very good. 27 of the 32 prints are contained in the portfolio (five are missing). A few of them have some brown water stains around the edges and some of them are in pretty nice condition. The folder has water stains around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
