An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Let's Go Naked, the 1932 Norman Lee English nudist melodrama (about an English nudist camp, and a purity league that is outraged by what goes on there, and they attempt to have the camp shut down) starring Ken Douglas, Betty Norton, Albert E. Raynor, Muriel White, Hal Gordon, and Andrea Nijinska (one of the fifty beautiful girls described below). We found a newspaper article about the making of this movie that told how hundreds of beautiful girls competed to appear in the movie, and they not only had to be beautiful, but they had to be athletic, because they were shown doing sports in the movie, and fifty finalists were selected for the film. Note that there was a giant nudism craze in Europe around this time, which spread to America. Nudist camps sprung up all over, and it was natural that filmmakers would try to make movies about this new phenomenon, but it was also natural that the subject matter made it very difficult to present nudists on film! The IMDb says that this movie was released as "Strip! Strip! Hooray!!! or (Fun with the Sunbathers)", but we can't confirm that, and movie advertising of any kind from this early nudist film is beyond rare! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that there was a 1950s movie called "Strip, Strip, Hooray!" with Tempest Storm and other burlesque strippers, but that has nothing to do with this movie, other than the possible similar title.
Important Added Info: Note that, as noted above, movie paper of any kind from this movie is beyond rare. This still is the one and only movie paper item from it we have ever auctioned, and it has information about the movie written in pencil on the back, including the name of the actress.

Condition: very good.
