An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Under Two Flags, the 1936 Frank Lloyd romantic French Foreign Legion Africa military war romantic love triangle adventure thriller ("Based on the novel by Ouida"; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck; about an Englishman who joins the French Foreign Legion because he has taken the blame for a crime his brother committed, and he has to contend with a ruthless commanding officer, and he has to choose between a sleazy nightclub singer and a refined Englishwoman) starring Ronald Colman, Claudette Colbert, Victor McLaglen, Rosalind Russell, Gregory Ratoff, Nigel Bruce, C. Henry Gordon, Herbert Mundin, Francis McDonald, John Carradine (his scenes were deleted), "and a cast of 10,000" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the slide has several slightly diagonal cracks in the right of the image. One runs down the right of the slide through Colman's face and the other two run down the right of the edge of the image through the inset headshot image. Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good. This glass slide has clear condition problems that causes it to be in less than "very good" condition. We do NOT describe those defects in words (UNLESS the defect is a crack in one or both panes of the glass, in which case we ALWAYS describe it elsewhere within the auction in words), and you can likely see some or all of them in the "large" and "super-sized" images we provide. If you are the sort who can accept a major defect, then you should bid on items in this condition grade, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THESE ITEMS UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THEIR VERY CLEAR DEFECTS!
