An Hardcover Bound Volume of 12 Original Vintage Exhibitor Magazines (measures 9" x 11 1/4" [23 x 29 cm]; 318 pages) (Learn More) Pathe Messenger, the English exhibitor magazine "issued monthly by Pathe Freres Cinema Ltd". This magazine was remarkably similar to the Universal Weekly, which was published in the U.S. by Universal, and since that magazine predated this one, we imagine that the owners of Pathe were inspired to publish this magazine after seeing issues of Universal Weekly. Each issue contained a varying number of pages, but usually around 30 pages. Each issue has heavily illustrated articles about then current Pathe movies (all of which were also released in the U.S.), trade ads for the movies, and sometimes reproductions of poster pages for some of those movies (obviously reproduced from the pressbook, or vice versa). Any examples of this publication are unbelievably rare! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this item, and that example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still only one we have ever auctioned! Also, note that this wonderful bound volume contains the first 12 issues of this exhibitor magazine (volume 1 number 1 through volume 1 number 12). We have never even auctioned a single issue of this magazine, which tells you how incredibly rare they are! Note: We have 15 images of the magazines in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 15 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 5. Condition: very good to fine. The bound covers have wear around the edges and at the spine.
