An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Oliver, Fagan, with Sikes and Nance, people you've loved and the people you hissed, screened in a classic that holds you in a trance."; based on the Charles Dickens novel) starring Jackie Coogan (in the title role as Oliver Twist; best remembered for playing the title role in Charlie Chaplin's "The Kid" and as "Uncle Fester" in TV's "The Addams Family"), Lon Chaney Sr. (as Fagin), James A. Marcus (as Mr. Bumble), Aggie Herring, Nelson McDowell, Lewis Sargent, Edoard Trebaol (as The Artful Dodger), George Siegmann (as Bill Sikes), and Gladys Brockwell (as Nancy Sikes)

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1922 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a title card and a glass slide from this movie until we received this scene lobby card (and the title card doesn't show Chaney at all, while this great lobby card has him in the central image, in the great scene where Oliver first meets Fagin, and he is also in the border area!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: poor to fair. The card has a scratch running through Chaney's eye and hair, and another smaller scratch in his nose, with some lighter scratches in the back of his hair. It has paper loss and stains around the edges. There are two small pieces of tape on the back, but otherwise, the card has had no restoration. Given that this card is both incredibly historic and incredibly rare, it certainly is an absolute must that the new owner give it to the best restorer to perform careful restoration to all of the above defects. Before you bid, be sure to look closely at our super-sized images and consider the cost of restoration before bidding on this incredible card!
