White Zombie, the 1932 Victor Halperin Haitian undead voodoo zombie monster horror thriller ("She was not alive... Nor dead... Just a White Zombie performing his every desire"; "They knew this fiend was practicing zombiism on the natives, but when he tried it on a white girl the nation revolted") starring Bela Lugosi (billed as "Bela [Dracula] Lugosi"; as "Murder" Legendre), Madge Bellamy, Joseph Cawthorn, Robert Frazer, and John Harron

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this 1938 re-release title card, once in 2004 and once in 2010, and this is the first of those two examples that has been reconsigned to us after all these years, so it is still only one of two examples of this card we have ever auctioned!

Note that this card has a stamp on the back that indicates it came from the legendary horror/sci-fi collection of Ron Borst (the stamp reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Ronald V. Borst")! Note that this is definitely not a first release lobby card, and we have been told by horror lobby card experts that it is from a 1938 re-release, and that makes sense to us. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Finally, note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: fair to good. There are water stains down the right half of the card (including an irregular line down the right side which runs through the woman's face and then goes into the right border). There is a water stain on the bottom of the left blank border. There were pinholes in the corners that were covered with tape on the back. There are a few light scuffs within the image (the only one that is at all noticeable is in the background below the word "DRACULA"). This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the water stains and rippling in the right portion can be removed through chemical means, and after restoration of this and the pinholes, the card will display really well, and likely need almost no paint restoration anywhere on the card.
