Never such adventure, such romance! Sail to high adventure with 'The Robin Hood of the Sea'!"; set in the time of the war between England and Spain, and the English navy has had no success against the Spanish armada, and in desperation, Queen Elizabeth hires a buccaneer to see what he can do, and of course, he has much success!) starring Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Rains, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I), Alan Hale Sr., and Henry Daniell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Australian one-sheet! Australian one-sheets from any movies from before World War II are incredibly rare, surely because they had the same paper shortages that Europe did during this time. Very few pre-World War II Australian one-sheets survive, and this is one of the few from a major movie! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny paper loss in the bottom quarter of the vertical fold, with a much lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that the poster was slightly roughly handled, and it acquired three faint diagonal creases in the top left corner that go into the blank white border (both in the poster and the linen behind it). They are not really distracting at all, and of course, they will not show when the poster is framed. Learn More about condition grades
