eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 2d056 BATTLING ORIOLES LC '24 Glenn Tryon in trouble for having a girl in an all-men's club house! Date Sold 11/6/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Battling Orioles, the 1924 Fred Guiol & Ted Wilde silent baseball sports comedy (you would think this is about the Baltimore Orioles, but it seems these "Orioles" hail from New York City!; written and produced by Hal Roach) short starring Glenn Tryon, Blanche Mehaffey, John T. Prince, Noah Young, Sam Lufkin, and Robert Page. Note that the kids from the Our Gang shorts had a small cameo in this movie (Joe Cobb, Jackie Condon, Mickey Daniels, and Sunshine Sammy Morrison)! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is a long slightly diagonal horizontal crease in the upper right of the image, running from the upper center of the image to the upper right blank border. There are pencil numbers in the top right corner. The back of the card was used to advertise another movie (1939's The Wizard of Oz!) and there is much pencil writing on the back, but it has no effect on the front (isn't it amazing that this 1924 lobby card stuck around for 15 years in a movie theater, and then the back was used to advertise maybe the most famous movie of all time!). Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
