An Original Vintage Trading Card Box (measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 9 1/4" [6 x 6 x 23 cm]) (Learn More) Fleer Corporation was a bubble gum and trading card company from 1885 to 2005. The company was founded by Frank H. Fleer and was the first company to successfully manufacture bubble gum (Dubble Bubble). Fleer became best-known as a maker of sports cards, starting in 1923 with the production of baseball cards. Fleer also released football and basketball card sets through its history, along with non-sports trading cards. Important Added Info: Note that this is an empty box designed to hold 500 Fleer trading cards. We believe it dates from the 1960s (someone wrote "1965" in pencil on bottom) but if anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this item needs to be shipped in a box, which might be a fairly small box, or might be a larger box. What is important for the bidders to know is that this item very likely CAN'T be combined with other purchases, because there would not be much savings if any, because this item will be in a box with substantial depth (because the item is "three-dimensional"), while other purchases will be in a flat package, and trying to combine them would likely damage this item. If you purchase multiple items like this (ones that need to be packed in a box), then they likely can be combined with each other (unless the resulting box is simply too large). So please bear in mind that this item likely must be sent separately in a box (the size and depth of the box will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it (so if you would pay $150 for the item, but the shipping is likely $100, then only bid $50 for the item). Condition: good to very good. The box has darkened. One of the vertical edges has separated and some vertical edges have partial separation (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
