An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 42" [71 x 107 cm]) (Learn More)

Swing Time, the 1936 George Stevens romantic love triangle musical dancing comedy ("With six new haunting melodies by Jerome Kern composer of 'Roberta'"; "Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers in the captivating climax of their gay young lives!..."; about a man and woman who are supposed to marry others, but they end up falling in love with each other) starring Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Victor Moore, Helen Broderick, Eric Blore, Betty Furness, Georges Metaxa, and Dennis O'Keefe. Note that this was one of the nine wonderful movies that Astaire and Rogers made between 1933 and 1939 (they made one final movie, "The Barkleys of Broadway", thirteen years later in 1949).

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this special one-sheet, which measures 28" x 42" [71 x 107 cm]! IT IS ONE OF THE MOST UNUSUAL 1930s ONE-SHEETS WE HAVE EVER SEEN! It was clearly printed by RKO and surely at the same time they printed their regular one-sheets, but it was created to be a promotional tie-in between the movie Swing Time and Fred Astaire appearing on the radio on the Packard Radio Hour on NBC! Not only we have we never auctioned this poster before, but we have also never auctioned a similar 1930s promotional tie-in one-sheet from RKO or any other studio.

Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded in half an extra time. There is separation in the left one quarter of the bottom horizontal fold and there is an uneven tear in the bottom quarter of the left horizontal fold, so that portion of the poster in the bottom left is separated from the rest, but there is no paper loss. There are some tears and darkening and small paper loss in the top and bottom borders and pretty minor fold wear. After a simple linenbacking this incredibly rare poster will display wonderfully!
