DC Comics is one of the largest and most successful comic book companies in the world. The company was founded in 1934 (its name came from the initials of its first great comic book, "Detective Comics"), but it really came into its own in 1938, with the first appearance of Superman in Action Comics #1, and then in 1939 with the first appearance of Batman in Detective Comics #27. The company owns the rights to well-known comic book characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Arrow and many more. The company has branched out into many forms of media including television, books, video games, and films. It has traded places with Marvel Comics as the world's leading comic book company multiple times. In recent years, Marvel Comics has had greater success with movies, while DC Comics has had greater success with TV series. Note that the items in this lot are mostly from the 1960s to the 1970s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Please note that we don't use a "comic guide" grading system, and OUR grading scale is completely different from standard comic book grading. Our "very good" is completely different from a comic book graded "very good". We provide images of the comic book covers, which should allow you to get a sense of the condition of the comics in this bulk lot. Condition: good.
