An Original Vintage Arcade Card Display (measures 8" x 12") (Learn More) The Lone Ranger is a fictional masked hero created by Jack Wrather in 1933 for a radio show in Detroit. The Lone Ranger was a former Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his Native American friend, Tonto, and his trusty horse Silver. The radio show was very popular and the character was soon featured in books, comics, TV shows, and several movies (including two serials from 1938 and 1939). The best known incarnation of this character was in the 1949-1957 TV series starring Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. Important Added Info: Note that over the years we have auctioned a fair number of "arcade cards", which were in machines at penny arcades, and visitors would insert a penny (in the early days) and receive a different arcade card each time, each with a different star's image, and usually with a facsimile signature printed on it. But this is the very first time we have been consigned the display cards that went on the top of the machine, which gave you instructions on how to buy the card, and each display card has multiple arcade cards glued to it! We were consigned three different display cards, which we are auctioning in three separate auctions (and it may be many years before we are consigned even one more). Condition: very good.
