An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Dick Tracy, the 1945 William A. Berke detective crime mystery action thriller ("Now on the screen!"; "He's in the movies now!"; "See him on the screen!"; "Based on the cartoon strip 'Dick Tracy' by Chester Gould") starring Morgan Conway (in the title role as Dick Tracy), Anne Jeffreys, Mike Mazurki (as "Splitface"), Jane Greer, Lyle Latell, and Mickey Kuhn. Note that this was the very first Dick Tracy movie! It is surprising that it took six years for it to reach the screen in 1947's "Dick Tracy", but once it did, it proved very popular and was followed by three more serials over the next four years, and then after a four year break, the first Dick Tracy feature film was released, which again proved extremely popular, and there were three sequels to that. There were animated cartoons on TV in the 1950s and in 1990, Warren Beatty made a live action movie!

Condition: good to very good. pinholes, a few creases, and many smudges around the edges of the card; an embossed stamp in the bottom left corner (typical of cards of this period; not at all noticeable or distracting); a pinhole in the center of the card in Greer's shoulder; smudges in the light background area at the top center of the card; a few minor scuffs throughout the image
