An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Danish Movie Poster (measures 23" x 32") (Learn More) Un Homme Et Une Femme (released in the U.S. in 1968 as "A Man and a Woman"), the classic 1966 Claude Lelouch (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) French romantic melodrama ("Now you can enjoy it in English for all young lovers wherever you are"; "The motion picture to see again and again... See it with someone you love."; "Grand Prize Winner 1966 Cannes Film Festival"; about a man and a woman who meet by accident, and each has lost their spouse and has a child, but the woman resists becoming involved because her husband is too strong in her memory) starring Anouk Aimee (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Jean-Louis Trintignant, Pierre Barouh, Valerie Lagrange, Simone Paris, and Souad Amidou NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: William Important Added Info: This Danish poster measures 23" x 32" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). OR you can't see the restoration because it was so well done, but the poster had fairly significant defects. OR no restoration was performed, but the defects are not major, and restoration could be done to the poster without re-backing it. See below for its pre-restoration defects (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). poster has tiny holes at the crossfolds and minor smudges and creases throughout (there are stains in the middle of the left and right borders). There are tiny tears on some foldlines. The poster is well linenbacked but the person who did so pretty much just mounted the poster and left the minor defects alone. They are not very noticeable or distracting, but if they bother the new owner of the poster, a talented restorer could touch them up without rebacking the poster. Learn More about condition grades
