An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 5 1/2" x 8" [14 x 20 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Il Circo Della Morte (released in the U.S. as "The Masque of Life" and released in other English-speaking countries as "The Circus of Death"), the 1916 Alfred Lind Italian silent circus royalty romantic adventure melodrama ("The greatest of all screen thrills"; about a prince who falls in love with a circus girl and gets her pregnant, but when his father dies, he is told she and the child have died, so that he will marry a royal woman and avoid scandal; his infant son dies, and his girl joins a traveling circus and stars with a trained chimp and after many wild and preposterous events, the king renounces his crown and marries his girl!) starring Miss Evelyn, Rita Jolivet, Trude Nick, Hamilton Revelle, and Pete Montebello (billed as "Introducing Pete Montebello the chimpanzee star"). Note that this movie has a major role played by a chimpanzee, in his first movie. We were unable to find any information about this chimp, and the star, Miss Evelyn does not appear to have a second name and was only in two movies. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1916 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare.
