Cohan"; "Successfully introduced by Nora Bayes") featuring an image of Nora Bayes in a colonial outfit, with art by Barbelle. Note that this is certainly one of George M. Cohan's most famous compositions, and he wrote it to provide inspiration to American youths to inspire them to join the military when the U.S. entered World War I in 1917. We are also currently auctioning sheet music for this song from the 1942 movie "Yankee Doodle Dandy"! Condition: fair to good. There are stains in the bottom right of the back cover and tears and tiny paper loss around the edges. There is some surface paper loss and glue residue in the bottom center of the cover (see our image). Still, this wonderful and rare sheet music can be displayed and enjoyed exactly as it is.
