Note that in the very late 1930s and early 1940s, MGM had so many major stars under contract that they could put four of their biggest in a single movie, as they did with this great one! The poster had tears and areas of paper loss in the top quarter of the vertical fold, with some others scattered down the rest of the vertical fold and some in the horizontal folds. It had pinholes and some tears around the edges, with a few scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. If I owned this poster, I would have it removed from the old linen and have it properly re-backed, after which it will display far better, but bear this in mind before bidding on this poster.
