Date Sold 5/11/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Unfolded Stage Play Poster (measures 28" x 42 1/4" [71 x 107 cm]) (Learn More) Fogg's Ferry, the 1893 stage play production ("The new comedy drama"; "The NEW Fogg's Ferry"; "By Chas. E. Callahan"; "'Don't kill me, Mammy!'"). We were able to determine that the playwright, Charles Edward Callahan lived from 1845 to 1917, but we could find no further information (and Fogg's Ferry appears to be a fictional location). A knowledgeable collector tells us that this was a late 1800s touring stage show which centered around the character of the daughter of a wealthy judge. If anyone knows more about this stage play, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster has creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges. Some smaller tears along portions of the upper edge have been backed by tape and some paper loss at lower left slightly enters the image area. There is a large tear at bottom center that extends into the title. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
