An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Moth, the 1934 Fred C. Newmeyer New Orleans Louisiana Mardi Gras romantic crime melodrama (about a beautiful young socialite on the run, and she finds a friend on a train, but she doesn't know that her new friend is a famous jewel robber known as "The Moth") starring Sally O'Neil, Paul Page, Wilfred Lucas, Fred Kelsey, Duncan Renaldo, and Rae Daggett (in the title role as The Moth) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster! We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning. Condition: poor. Many years ago a theater painted a large sign on back of the poster and the paint slightly bleeds through to the front. There are several defects scattered along the edges and foldlines/crossfolds and there are MANY areas of foldline and crossfold separation. Many of the defects have been repaired with tape from the back and the poster is quite fragile. Many of the folds are completely separated. The poster is in urgent need of restoration, and certainly a competent restorer could repair some of the defects described above (although the paint has likely bonded to the poster), and please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
