The next... You're trapped with 294 other guests in the middle of a fiery hell."; "The tallest building in the world is on fire. You are there with 294 other guests. There's no way down. There's no way out."; "Hundreds trapped by flames on 135th floor of World's Tallest building"; "Day of Dedication Becomes Night of Blazing Terror"; "Rescue efforts hampered by explosions, High winds"; "Mayor, Senator among Notables Periled"; "Based on the novels 'The Tower' by Richard Martin Stern and 'The Glass Inferno' by Thomas N. Scortia and Frank M. Robinson"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Steve McQueen ("as O'Hallorhan The Fire Chief"), Paul Newman ("as Roberts The Architect"), William Holden ("as Duncan The Builder"), Faye Dunaway ("as Susan The Girl Friend"), Fred Astaire (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Harlee The Con Man"), Susan Blakely ("as Patty The Wife"), Richard Chamberlain ("as Simmons The Son-In-Law"), Jennifer Jones ("as Lisolette The Widow"), O.J. Simpson ("as Jernigan The Security Man"), Robert Vaughn ("as Parker The Senator"), and Robert Wagner ("as Bigelow The Publicity Man"). Note that this movie was originally two competing productions from two different studios, Warner Bros. and 20th Century-Fox (based on two similar books, "The Tower" by Richard Martin Stern, and "The Glass Inferno" by Thomas N. Scortia), and the studios wisely chose to instead collaborate on a single movie, which resulted in a pretty amazing all-star cast, and one of the very best movies of its kind! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that they WERE printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So they are original stills from 1974, but they were printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. The stills are in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
