An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/2") (Learn More) The Bridge of San Luis Rey, the 1929 Charles Brabin silent South America romantic tragedy melodrama (based on a novel by Thornton Wilder; the classic story of a bridge in Peru that collapses, killing five people, and then the movie tells those five people's stories in flashback, so one can decide if it was bad luck or fate that they all happened to be on that fateful bridge) starring Lili Damita, Ernest Torrence, Raquel Torres, Don Alvarado, Duncan Renaldo, and Henry B. Walthall. Note that the movie was originally filmed as a silent, and then had sound added, and the film is mostly lost, and is almost completely forgotten today, overshadowed by the 1944 version of this same novel, starring Lynn Bari, Akim Tamiroff and Francis Lederer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
