A Vintage Autographed Softcover Book (measures 5 1/4" x 8 1/4" [13 x 21 cm]; 47 pages) (Learn More) David Raskin was a composer from the 1930s to the 2000s. He was noted for his work in film and television, and with more than 100 film scores and 300 television scores to his credit, he became known as the "Grandfather of Film Music". Some of his movies include: Laura, Will Penny, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 92. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by David Raskin! Our consignor took a college class from Mr. Raskin in the early 1970s, and in 1995, he met Mr. Raskin and our consignor told him about having been in his class, and he signed this book in person. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and an interior 2-page spread. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
