An Original 1951 (from the first Argentinean release of this movie) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) Ulica Graniczna (released in the U.S. as "Border Street" and also as "That Others May Live"), the 1948 Aleksander Ford Polish World War II (WWII) Warsaw Ghetto Polish-Jewish-resistance melodrama (about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, focusing primarily on the effect on Polish children in the ghetto and on the German teens in the Nazi Hitler Youth) starring Mieczyslawa Cwiklinska, Jerzy Leszczynski, Wladyslaw Godik, Wladyslaw Walter, and Jerzy Pichelski. Note that this was a Polish production, but because Poland right after World War II had no film industry, the movie was actually filmed in Czechoslovakia. Artist: Osvaldo Venturi Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had a series of small tears in the left half of the top and bottom foldlines, and minor wear on the other foldlines. There were pinholes around the edges of the poster and a couple near the center of the image, some in the face of the woman. There were some scuffs in the solid colored areas of the image. There are some tiny areas of paper loss in the blank border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer simply backed it "as is" (and the defects described above are not very noticeable or distracting). Learn More about condition grades
