Date Sold 9/29/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Lash La Rue (born Alfred Wilson LaRue) was a star of 1940s and 1950s cowboy western movies who always carried his trademark whip, which gave him his nickname. He mostly appeared in B-westerns, but he had a few roles in A-movies including: Lady on a Train, Song of Old Wyoming, and The Master Key. He passed away in 1996 at the age of 78. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Lash La Rue! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
