An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Happy Go Lucky, the 1943 Curtis Bernhardt Trinidad tropical island romantic musical comedy (about a gold-digger who goes to Trinidad to pose as a debutante and find a rich husband, and a rich guy exposes her, but tries to set her up with his arch rival; there is a wacky subplot involving a voodoo love potion!) starring Mary Martin, Dick Powell, Betty Hutton, Eddie Bracken, and Rudy Vallee. Note that Paramount was really pushing Mary Martin at this time, and she was given top billing over her much better established male co-stars (Powell, Bracken, and Vallee), and she is the only one pictured on the one-sheet poster. Of course, she would soon become disenchanted with Hollywood and spend most of her time on Broadway! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this three-sheet! Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: fair to good. There are many creases, several tears, and some areas of tiny paper loss along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some folds, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. There are pinholes and paper loss around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
