NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that around this time, studios were creating "subway posters" for many releases, which were 45" x 60" horizontally-shaped posters that were glued up on walls all over New York City (hence the name "subway poster"). They also made these smaller "subway" posters which measure approximately half the size of a regular "subway" poster (usually around 29" x 45"), and look like a one-sheet, only bigger, but they have information about one or more specific New York theaters then-currently showing that movie. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that this item (and others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from the estate of Lee Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca. Condition: good to very good. There are various defects around the edges of the poster, and there is wear and some areas of small paper loss along the foldlines and/or crossfolds (especially in the lower half of the poster).
