An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Phantom Flyer, the 1928 Bruce M. Mitchell silent airplane aviation cowboy western melodrama ("Story by Bruce Mitchell"; about then present day homesteaders versus cattle ranchers, but with several twists; for one, the main combatants are the daughter of the homesteader and the female owner of the cattle ranch, which is certainly unusual, but there is also a stunt flyer who shows up to help the homesteaders, and naturally falls in love with the daughter) starring Al Wilson ("Daredevil Aviator"), Lillian Gilmore, Buck Connors, Billy 'Red' Jones, and Don Fuller. Note that Al Wilson was a stunt pilot who became a producer and actor in a number of movies between 1923 and 1932 (including performing some stunts in Hell's Angels in 1930), when he sadly died performing airplane stunts at an air show. He was only 36. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in the bottom right blank corner and smaller paper loss in the top right blank corner, with slight darkening in the extreme outer edge of the right blank border. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
