Journee Nationale des Tuberculeux (literally translates to "National Tuberculosis Day"), the circa 1916 French World War I (WWI) Home Front poster (with taglines that translate to "Military veterans"; "Save them") promoting awareness of National Tuberculosis Day, and featuring Jules Abel Faivre art of a veteran with a woman's hands on his shoulders
Artist: Jules Abel Faivre
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 31 1/2" x 44 1/2" [80 x 113 cm].

Note that we were just consigned a wonderful collection of 59 war posters, most from World War II (which we are auctioning in 59 separate auctions)! Included in this collection are some posters we have never auctioned before, and some we have only auctioned once or twice before (sometimes only many years ago). This is a wonderful opportunity to obtain some or all of these historic posters, many of which have great images!).

Condition: good. Several inches of the lower edge have been trimmed from the poster (see our image). It has a few tears at bottom that have been backed with brown paper tape. It has creases, small tears and spotty staining around the edges and there are a few tiny stains in portions of the art (otherwise the art is in pretty nice condition.)
