A Folded Original Vintage Theatrical Cloth Banner Movie Poster (measures 36" x 119" [91 x 302 cm]) (Learn More) The Phantom Bullet, the 1926 Clifford Smith silent Texas cowboy western ("From the story 'Click of the Triangle-T' by Oscar Friend") starring Hoot Gibson, Eileen Percy, Allan Forrest, Pat Harmon, and Nelson McDowell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1928 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single poster or lobby card (only two glass slides) from this movie until we received this poster! The poster has metal grommets that were inserted in the corners so that the poster could be hung in theater lobbies. This was done soon after the poster was created. The poster was folded back in each corner prior to each grommet being inserted, which was done to give the posters extra strength. The corners are not missing. They are folded back, and any restorer could remove the grommets and unfold the corners. Also, note that the banner is too big for our photo wall, so we had to shoot it in two shots and then join them together. That is why it looks like there is a seam down the center of the poster, but it is not really there! Condition: good to very good. The corners of the poster were folded back when the grommets were added (see above). They ARE present, just folded back. The poster was folded and stored that way for many years, so there are many folds in the poster and some scuffs along the folds. There are some small stains in the top center of the poster, which was the part that was on the outside when the poster was fully folded. It certainly could be displayed as it is, or one could choose to have the grommets removed and the corners folded back, and then restoration could be performed, either with or without backing the poster. Either way, the new owner of this poster will have an incredible and unique display for their wall! Learn More about condition grades
