Nathan Hale, the 1910s U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bonds poster ("Would Nathan Hale Hold Back If He Were Here Today? Then why do you fail to meet to the fullest extent of your ability every call of your country? Do not expect the children to buy all the Thrift Stamps and War Savings Certificates. You must not permit America to fail in the war savings campaign. Buy thrift stamps and war savings certificates today, tomorrow and every day.") encouraging people to buy war stamps and certificates, featuring art of Nathan Hale's statue. Note that Nathan Hale was an American soldier and spy for the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He volunteered for an intelligence-gathering mission in New York City but was captured by the British and executed. It has traditionally been reported that his last words, either entirely or in part, were, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few pinholes around the edges (some are torn or enlarged due to rough removal) and some slight discoloration at upper right.
