The Man in the White Suit, the classic 1951 (released in the U.S. in 1952) Alexander Mackendrick Ealing Studios English science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy comedy ("Gadzooks! ...it's Guinness again!"; "Curie, Edison, Einstein... And now Alec Guinness as 'The Man in the White Suit'"; "Ealing Studios present another comedy"; about a man who invents fabric that never gets dirty or wears out, and how the garment industry tries to suppress it) starring Alec Guinness ("Britain's Top Comedian will have you in stitches"), Joan Greenwood, Cecil Parker, Michael Gough, and Ernest Thesiger

Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" lobby card for an undated (probably 1950s) re-release of this classic English movie! How do we know it is a re-release? We recently auctioned a re-release one-sheet that looked incredibly similar to the first release, but it had differences in the distributor logo at bottom left and in the printing at the bottom which told us (and we had it confirmed by experts) that that poster was from when the movie was re-released between 1955 and 1957. We had previously have auctioned a similar poster for "The Third Man", another great English classic. It seems likely that these movies (along with the other great English post-war movies) were all re-released in the time frame beginning in 1955, and continuing for the next two years.

Condition: very good. There are some small tears and a few pinholes around the edges. There is a diagonal crease in the lower right. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
