An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Souls in Pawn, the 1940 Melville Shyer burlesque baby-selling racket sexploitation movie (about a young woman who gives birth in a crooked maternity ward and her baby is adopted by a greedy burlesque queen as a publicity stunt, however, she later returns the baby to her mother who now has a job and can support her child; one of the earliest sexploitation movies to use burlesque dancers!) starring Ginger Britton, Beatrice Curtis, Kenne Duncan, Lloyd Ingraham, and Richard Beach

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare full color poster from the first release of this movie in 1940! We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and have previously only auctioned one poster from the 1940s continuous roadshow release and two posters from a 1950s re-release of the movie (re0titled "Bootleg Babies" for that re-release).

Condition: good. The poster has some slight discoloration in a few areas due to exposure to moisture (it is mostly only noticeable on back but it does affect a few portions of the images on front, mostly at center - see our image). It has light creases scattered in various areas and some creases and tiny tears along portions of the blank borders, and there is some minor separation in the crossfolds. The poster is otherwise all "there" and still quite colorful, and the defects mentioned above would not be very difficult to correct by linenbacking after which the ultra-rare poster would look great (but of course please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.)
