eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 1r0379 CARRIE FISHER signed 11x14 matted display '05 as Princess Leia from Star Wars, with CoA! Date Sold 8/6/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Autographed Matted Display (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Carrie Fisher was an actress from the 1970s to the 2010s. Of course she could never escape the one role she is most known for, playing Princess Leia in the Star Wars films. With her trademark "bagel bun" hair style, that role has been the source of countless parodies. Her private life has always been turbulent, starting from when she was the 3 year old daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, and he left her mom for Liz Taylor. She has a child by a man she didn't marry, and she was briefly married to singer Paul Simon. But in spite of these setbacks, she accomplished a great deal, writing several books (including Postcards From the Edge which was made into a movie), appeared in other movies, and worked as a screenwriter (sometimes uncredited), but she will surely forever be primarily remembered as the character she first played as a 20 year old! She passed away after suffering a heart attack in 2016. She was 60 years old. Her mother Debbie Reynolds passed away a day later. Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is a matted display of a REPRO photo together with a signed card under it, which was sold by starwars.com) has been personally autographed (signed) by Carrie Fisher! Note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from Official Pix (signed by C2 Ventures CEO Philip Wise and President Ben Stevens, as well as Lucas Licensing President Howard Roffman). Note that this autographed item (and many others in this set of auctions, all of which have this same paragraph on them) come from the collection of a man who recently passed away. He was confined to a wheelchair, but that did not stop him from attending all of the major collectible shows in the Northeast, including the Chiller Conventions! He would obtain many signed items from the celebrities in attendance (they sometimes personalized the autographs to him, and his name was "Jimmy"), and he also purchased a few signed items from celebrities through the mail. In the case of the items purchased through the mail, he would usually also get a "certificate of authenticity". Our consignor (and we) believe that all of the signed items from this collection have authentic signatures. Condition: very good to fine. The display is in nice condition!
