An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Hats Off, the 1936 Boris Petroff Texas romantic press agent musical (written by Samuel Fuller; a wacky story of two Texas cities wanting to run expositions to bring visitors to their cities, and they hire publicists who are male and female to promote their separate events; naturally, they steal each other's ideas and use all kinds of unscrupulous tactics, and even more naturally, they end up falling in love!) starring Mae Clarke, John Payne, Helen Lynd, Luis Alberni, Skeets Gallagher, Franklyn Pangborn, Three Radio Rogues, and "200 Gorgeous Girls". Note that this was the very first screenplay by Sam Fuller, who was only 24! Of course, he would later become famous for tough action thrillers and war melodramas, but this movie was surprisingly a lighthearted romantic comedy! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most insert posters, especially from before 1970! Condition: fair to good. There was paper loss in the lower left corner, and someone taped a piece from another poster to that area. There is a 6" horizontal tear near the center of the right border, a small tear in the lower right border, and a small tear in the lower left border (all repaired with paper tape from the reverse). There are many smudges scattered throughout the poster. Learn More about condition grades
