Five Graves to Cairo, the 1943 Billy Wilder World War II (WWII) Egypt British-in-Africa military spy espionage romantic action thriller ("Did a Woman Start the Rout of Rommel?"; "Based on a play by Lajos Biro"; about an English undercover agent stationed in northern Africa who discovers that the Nazis have hidden stockpiles of supplies in different bases across northern Africa, and he has to figure out a way to alert the Allies while behind enemy lines, with the aid of a beautiful woman) starring Franchot Tone, Anne Baxter, Akim Tamiroff, Erich von Stroheim ("as Field Marshal Erwin Rommel", The Desert Fox), and Peter Van Eyck

Condition: good to very good. The poster had creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss in the top half of the vertical foldline and the right half of the middle foldline. There was a second slightly diagonal horizontal fold 1/2" below the regular middle foldline, and there were tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the right of that extra fold. There were areas of paper loss in the right blank border and creases, tears, and pinholes around the edges of the poster. There was a 2" vertical tear in the "I" of "CAIRO" in the title and a 4" tear and a 2" tear in the lower right of the image, mostly in the yellow background, but just extending into the tip of the girl's ear. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was quite nicely backed by a talented restorer. You have to look really closely to see the restoration, and the poster does not have a "heavily restored" look to it at all. I think the majority of collectors would never realize how much restoration this poster has had, even if they were looking at it from pretty close up!
