An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) A Slave of Fashion, the 1925 Hobart Henley silent mistaken identity romantic comedy (a wacky story of a country girl on her way to New York City, who is involved in a train wreck, and she takes the purse of a woman who died in the wreck, and assumes her identity, which involves living in a fancy apartment rent-free, but her family comes to visit, and she says she is married to the owner of the apartment, who is in Europe, and he returns and torments her!) starring Norma Shearer, Lew Cody, William Haines, Mary Carr, and James Corrigan. Note that Mary Carr became a major star in the mid 1910s around the age of 40, playing the parts of saintly mothers. She continued to make movies (switching to grandmother roles) through the mid 1930s, and then continued with mostly uncredited parts until the mid 1950s. She passed away in 1973 at the age of 99!
