An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 24 1/4" x 33 1/2" [62 x 85 cm]) (Learn More)

Tango Notturno, the 1938 Fritz Kirchhoff German post-World War I (WWI) mother/son romantic love triangle crime murder melodrama (similar to "Stella Dallas", Negri is a cabaret singer who has a young son, and he is later taken from her because she is an "unfit mother", and at the end of the movie, she commits suicide) starring Pola Negri (this Polish born actress had been a major star in the 1920s, but when her career began winding down in the late 1930s, she went to Europe and made this movie, plus four others, before basically retiring), Albrecht Schoenhals, Waldemar Leitgeb, Elisabeth Flickenschildt, and Lina Carstens. Note that had this been a Hollywood movie, it surely would have had at least a somewhat happy ending, but given how things were in Germany at this time, it ended about as unhappily as possible.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster. Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them!). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has extra creases in the middle of the horizontal fold and slight darkening on the foldlines. It has pinholes in the corners and a small circular stain in the bottom right corner (see our image).
