An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Gold Diggers of 1937, the 1936 Lloyd Bacon & Busby Berkeley New York City Broadway romantic theater stage show musical comedy ("We're back in the money with a show that's a honey!"; "Musical numbers created and directed by Busby Berkeley") starring Dick Powell, Joan Blondell, Victor Moore, Glenda Farrell, Lee Dixon, Osgood Perkins, and Rosalind Marquis. Note that Dick Powell & Joan Blondell were married the year this movie was made. Also note that Warner Bros. had a giant hit in 1933 with "Gold Diggers of 1933", and they made a sequel to it two years later called, naturally, "Gold Diggers of 1935", which was followed by this third movie. There were also a few other "Gold Diggers" movies made in the 1930s! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we don't know exactly what is going on in this this still, which measures 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm]. The woman is wearing a custom made Gold Diggers of 1937 dress and standing by a silk banner for the movie, obviously in the theater lobby. She is holding a basket in one hand and something in the other hand, and surely this was some special promotion this theater did.
