The funniest picture ever!"; "The True Story of Trudy Kockenlocker who kissed the Boys Goodbye... Regiment By Regiment"; "Bob Hope says... 'The best film I ever tasted- I ate it up!'"; "In Paramount's Miracle of Mirth!") starring Eddie Bracken ("The miracle man who rocked the world - with laughter!"), Betty Hutton, Diana Lynn, William Demarest, Porter Hall, Brian Donlevy (billed as "McGinty", which is a reference to the role he played in Sturges' earlier hit The Great McGinty), Akim Tamiroff (billed as "The Boss", which is a reference to the role he played in Sturges' earlier hit The Great McGinty), and Frank Moran. I don't recall EVER seeing an actor billed in a movie where his name is left off of the poster entirely! I suppose Sturges thought this was very funny, and likely Donlevy and Tamiroff agreed to do it because he asked them! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that lobby cards from this Preston Sturges classic have always been extremely rare! In all our years of auctioning, we have only auctioned five single lobby cards, and two of those were duplicated, so we had previously only seen three different scenes. But now we have been consigned an entire set! It might take a person 10 or 20 years to assemble a complete set card by card, or they could simply buy this set! Along with this rare set, we were consigned a complete set of "The Palm Beach Story", which is equally as rare as this set, and we are auctioning it separately. Condition: very good. Six of the cards have a pinhole in the center of the top border and some smudges around the edges. Two of the cards have a small tear in the top border. One of those has smudges around the edges and the other has some pinholes and small stains in the borders. None have had any restoration (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
