Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) The Teahouse of the August Moon, the 1956 Daniel Mann post-World War II (WWII) occupied-Japan comedy ("MGM presents in CINEMASCOPE and METROCOLOR"; "All the riotous fun of the prize-winning stage comedy!"; "Based on a book by Vern J. Sneider and the play by John Patrick") starring Marlon Brando ("as that rascal Sakini..."; in yellowface!), Glenn Ford ("as eager beaver Capt. Fisby"), Machiko Kyo ("as geisha girl Lotus Blossom"), Eddie Albert, Paul Ford, Jun Negami, Nijiko Kiyokawa, Mitsuko Sawamura, and Harry Morgan. Note that at least part of the movie was filmed on location in Kyoto, Japan. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There is marker writing on the back of the poster that bleeds through to the upper left of the top crossfold in the image background. There are ripples throughout the poster from water staining. There is a small tear near Ford's credit (repaired with tape from the back). There is minor separation at the top and bottom crossfolds with about 2 1/2" of separation at the top end of the vertical foldline. The upper left and lower right corners have a small piece off.
