An Original Vintage Folded Special Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Devil's Harvest, the 1942 Ray Test marijuana marihuana pot weed grass drugs exploitation melodrama ("The truth about... marijuana drugs ...the smoke of Hell!"; a tale of the marijuana drug traffic among high school students!) starring June Doyle, John Clayton, Leo Anthony, Ben Barlow, and Ed Murray. Note that any posters or lobby cards from this movie are rare and very desired by collectors, especially because they all have the great tagline "The truth about... Marijuana The smoke of Hell!". Note that it is difficult to know if items from this movie are from the very first release in 1942, or from the many continuous releases of it over the next few years, when the movie had "roadshow" releases throughout America in little towns. We identify all the items as being from 1942, but the ones that are two color may be from soon after. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. It measures 22" x 28", so it was surely used as a half-sheet. But we have never seen any posters from this movie other than one-sheets and lobby cards, and we didn't know that they made any other sizes, until we saw this poster. So exactly what is this poster? The image on the top left has been glued onto the poster, and the entire image on the right half was printed separately and been glued over what appears to be a completely blank area. This makes us wonder if this wasn't originally two parts of a larger poster (maybe a 40x60 or 30x40?). We really have no way of learning more, because a search of the Internet was fruitless, so we are hoping someone reading this has some light to shed. But please do not bid on this incredibly rare poster unless you can accept its unusual nature and the lack of information about it. Condition: good. As noted above, the top left image has been glued onto the poster, as was done with 30x40s at this time. The entire right of the poster was glued over the right half of the poster, which was blank underneath. As we said above, we don't know if this was trimmed from a larger poster. There is yellowed tape in the middle left of the poster and a piece of yellowed tape in the bottom right. Learn More about condition grades
