An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Frederick Lonsdale's Lovers Courageous, the 1932 Frederick Lonsdale rich-girl-poor-man romantic melodrama (from the story by Frederick Lonsdale; about an Englishman from the working class who aspires to be a writer, and he decides to travel widely to gain knowledge to help in his writing, and along the way, he meets the society daughter of an admiral, and although they have nothing in common, they fall madly in love) starring Robert Montgomery, Madge Evans, Roland Young, Frederick Kerr and Reginald Owen. Note that Frederick Lonsdale was a playwright with many successes, including The Last of Mrs. Cheyney. He wrote the screenplay for this movie directly for the screen and directed it too! And Robert Montgomery was already a frequent star of romantic comedies, and those who have seen this movie say it is extremely well done.
