Some of her movies include: A Farewell to Arms, Herbie Rides Again, and Arrowsmith. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Airport in 1970, which was 39 years after she won her Best Actress Oscar in 1931 for The Sin of Madelon Claudet. She was married to legendary screenwriter Charles MacArthur, and the mother of actor James MacArthur (and the mother of actress Mary MacArthur, who passed away at just 19, from polio). She passed away in 1993 at the age of 92. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: MGM created two different sets of personality posters in the 1930s to promote their stars. The earlier set was made in 1932, and this poster comes from that set. These posters are extremely rare as few theaters ordered them, and fewer still saved them! Condition: good. As is typical with these MGM personality posters, there are a few minor chips out of the borders. There is a larger chip off of the right of the bottom border and small pieces off of the left and right bottom corners. There are light stains in th. Note that due to the type of paper these posters were printed on, they must be sent in large flat packages.
