An Original 1947 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage German Film Program (measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" [13 x 27 cm]; 6 pages) (Learn More) Martin Roumagnac (released in the U.S. in 1948 as "The Room Upstairs"), the 1946 Georges Lacombe French romantic love triangle crime melodrama (based on the novel by Pierre-Rene Wolf; about a man so madly in love with Dietrich that he gives her a house, but it ruins him; and she can't choose between him and her rich boyfriend) starring Marlene Dietrich, Jean Gabin (in the title role), Jean d'Yd, Daniel Gelin and Jean Darcante. Note that this movie was released in the U.S. two years after it was made, but we have never seen any posters or lobby cards from that release, only stills. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that immediately after World War II, some U.S. movies played in Germany in special limited showings that were for American soldiers stationed there. They created "Filmpost" programs for these special showings (and there were also some special showings of non-U.S. movies, apparently for some German citizens, which also received these Filmpost programs). A short while later, those same movies had their first regular release in Germany, and "regular" programs were created. Also note that this program has six pages, but it is printed on a large single sheet that is tri-folded (we have photographed each side of the program completely unfolded). Condition: good.
