Note that Warren Beatty remade this movie in 1978, very closely following the original plot, but changing boxing to football, and he changed the name to "Heaven Can Wait", which was the name of the source play for this movie (it was not used for this movie, and it was used two years later on a different major 1940s comedy, starring Don Ameche)
