A Linenbacked German Special Poster (measures 33 1/2" x 46 1/2" [85 x 118 cm]) (Learn More) Porsche is a German automobile manufacturer specializing in high-performance vehicles, including sports cars and sedans. Porsche was founded in Stuttgart, Germany in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche, however the company only offered consults and motor vehicle development before eventually designing vehicles and contributing to World War II (WWII). Popular Porsche cars include the 911, 944, Boxster, and the Carrera Artist: Reichert Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this poster! Also note that the Brands Hatch 1000 km was an endurance sports car racing event that was part of the World Sportscar Championship from 1967 until 1989. Originally a six-hour race running under the name BOAC 500, the event was eventually extended to 1000 kilometers under a number of different sponsorship titles. Pedro Rodriguez/Leo Kinnunen won the 1970 event in a Porsche 917K for the John Wyer Automotive Engineering team. The race took place in heavy rain and Rodriguez' performance was so impressive that the 1970 event is sometimes known as "the day they forgot to tell Pedro it was raining". Note that this poster ships in a very long tube (at least 33" long, but possibly 50" long or more). Therefore the shipping for this poster will be more than that for a poster that ships in a tube 32" or shorter, and possibly much more. Please bear this added shipping expense in mind before bidding on this poster. You can tell how long of a tube this poster needs to ship in by looking at the shorter dimension of its length and width and then adding 4" to that (so a 47" x 63" poster will need to ship in a 51" long tube). What IS linenbacking?
