Laura Z. Hobson's Gentleman's Agreement, the 1947 Elia Kazan (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) investigation-of-anti-Semitism melodrama ("Produced by Darryl F. Zanuck"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; about a reporter who pretends to be Jewish in order to cover a story on anti-Semitism and personally discovers the depth of bigotry and hatred, even in otherwise "decent" people) starring Gregory Peck (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Dorothy McGuire (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), John Garfield (he was a major star at the time, but he was Jewish, and he took a small role in this movie as a Jewish man who endures prejudice, because of how deeply he believed in what it was saying!), Celeste Holm (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Anne Revere (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), June Havoc, Albert Dekker, Jane Wyatt, and Dean Stockwell

Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Gregory Peck AND Dorothy McGuire! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signatures to likely be authentic. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.

Condition: very good. There is a light vertical scuff line in the left of the title, running through the first "n" of "Gentleman's" down between the "gr" of "Agreement". Otherwise, the card is in excellent condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
