It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Ernesto Gusap Important Added Info: Note that Ernesto Guasp emigrated to Mexico in 1939 from Spain where he was a noted political caricaturist. In Mexico, he became an illustrator for the newsreels Noticiario Cinematografico Mexicano, which was directed by fellow Spaniard Carlos Velo for the company E.M.A. In 1947, Guasp received the Jose Guadalupe Posada prize, an honorary award established by the Mexican Association of Journalists. His cartoons also appeared in the naughty magazine Ja-ja and the newspaper Novedades. Guasp designed just a few posters for the Mexican cinema. In each of these, he left his stylish mark, which was rather abstract with cubist influences. These characteristics were not easily appreciated by movie producers, who were used to more classic designs. Examples of Guasp's art include the posters for Anacleto se Divorcia, El Organillero and Manos Arriba. Also, note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Condition: poor to fair. The poster is in much lesser condition. It has much rippling throughout and it has almost fully separated along the vertical foldline except for a few tiny piece of paper which makes this Mexican poster EXTREMELY fragile (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great, but it might require fairly extensive restoration). Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept how fragile it is, or are willing to pay to have it linenbacked. Learn More about condition grades
